MANTACHIE, MS · OUR ROOM, YOUR DAY

Why Mantachie couples choose The Stables of Harp Farm.

Mantachie couples have the shortest drive in the county to The Stables of Harp Farm. Straight down Highway 25, through Fulton, into Smithville, and the gravel turn is on the right. Twenty-five minutes, no traffic, and the barn is yours for the weekend.

The room is a rebuilt 1980s riding stable: 6,000 square feet, climate-controlled, with seven semi-private dining stables and a grand gathering room. White linens on the tables, chiffon-covered chairs in place, an Amish carriage parked at the door, and a handmade sound system tucked into the ceiling so nobody is dragging extension cords across the dance floor.

The chapel is outdoors under the trees with a cross at the end of the aisle and pews built into the ground. The cottage out back is a 1953 farmhouse for the bride and her people. Everything lives on one property, which Mantachie families appreciate because it keeps the day from turning into a road trip.
